Read Me Mac - BodyShots LowRes
Thank you for acquiring Aztech's BodyShots (multimedia version). This CD contains five
graphic file formats. These formats are:
24-bit (millions of colors) RGB TIFF with alpha channel + clipping path, at 72 dpi
8-bit (256 shades) greyscale TIFF at 150 dpi
8-bit (256 colors) Windows .BMP bitmap at 72 dpi
8-bit (256 colors) Macintosh PICT bitmap at 72 dpi
Adobe Illustrator(TM) clipping paths
This last format is not actually a graphic file format but rather a series of Postscript
definitions that define a "cropping" or "clipping" path that outlines each image in the
collection. Using Adobe Illustrator you can utilize these paths to cut out all backgrounds
(including this collection's white background) and seamlessly drop in any other background
you desire.
All the formats are represented by a collection of "thumbnail" images which are managed
in a browser called Kudo. Each catalog of images has its own self-contained Kudo browser.
Macintosh users who want to make full use of all the features of this browser, especially the
ability to launch a photo editting program, you should first run the Install Me First
program. This sets up Claris Xtend files in your system folder.
Macintosh users will find that there are a variety of Aldus Fetch catalogs available.
These are catalogs of many of Aztech's other photographic image collections. Bodyshots is
the first Aztech photo collection to employ the new and more powerful Kudo image
manager and browser, which may be used by PC and Mac users alike. The read-only Fetch
browser is included on this CD . You only need to double-click on a Fetch catalog to
view the thumbnails.
Remember that the thumbnail images are only representative of the actual images. The
actual images are contained on other CD's that are available from Aztech.
Known Kudo "Bug"
The Kudo Browser (in Windows only) displays greyscale (only) preview images in reverse
video. This is a known Kudo bug and affects only Kudo. Your image editing software as
well as all printouts will display the images correctly.
